In 1952, P. Lorillad Company gave smokers Kents, a cigarette produced with a ‘micronite’ filter to cut tar (this was later changed to a carbon filter, used still today). This was well received by smokers at the time when the chances of getting cancer from smokes were believed to be lowered with filters. Today, Kents are a product line of the British American Tobacco Nassi company. Kents have a light flavor and positive aroma. I tried them a few times when I was in the United Kingdom for a business trip. Figured I would be like the natives lol. I have to describe them as nice for smokers looking for a gentler smoking experience.
